Tasks for the first lessons

 

Most tasks are on level A2.

1.

Write a short paragraph in which you answer the following questions.
What's your full name?
Have you got a nickname? Do you want your teachers to use it, or should only friends use it?
Where are you from?
What's your nationality?
Where do you live?
When were you born?
Under which zodiac were you born?
How old are you?
Have you got any brothers and sisters? (Mention members of your family.)
What do you do in your free time? (Mention your hobbies.)
Why do attend this school?
What do you want to become?

As soon as you are able to type the corrected version, you do that, print it and put it in your portfolio.

2.

Print the word document twice. Fill in the first questionnaire by yourself. Mark what you like and hate, and put the piece of paper into your portfolio. Then interview a classmate. Mark what he or she likes or dislikes before you compare your questionnaires.

Introducing oneself: 1, 2, 3, 4

After having done these exercise, you should Introduce yourself in a similar way.

4. 

Describing people: 1, 2

After having done these exercises, you describe one of your classmates in a similar way.

5.

Interviewing classmates: 1

Interview a classmate. Ask at least ten questions.

6.

Introductory e-mails: 1, 2

Write an introdcutory e-mail based on the examples. If you prefer a little project, look for a penpal.

7.

Download the PowerPoint presentation. Put a picture of yourself in the middle, and complete the sentences. You may insert pictures instead of adding the missing words. However, you will have to present your document. Therefore, you should know your vocabulary.
Finally, print the slide and put it in your portfolio.
